Praying In Agreement

Praying In Agreement

There is power in prayer of agreement. We have always prayed together, joining hands in agreement for there is power in accumulative prayer.

Amos 3:3  ‘How can two walk together unless they agree’.

We have established areas of agreement in our marriage according to the word of God. We have seen God bring us together, intervening in our lives, and giving us victory as we stand and fight in agreement using the word of God.

Two weeks prior to celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, I was sick unto death. I recall my husband sitting by the bedside ALL NIGHT praying for me. I cried out to the Lord also in my distress that night. Early in the morning I managed to get up and have some food. My husband wanted to spend the day with me but I assured him that I would be okay alone at home. During mid morning as I was praying  lying in bed, then suddenly I blanked out. I learnt later that around that time my husband had a nudge from the Holy Spirit to pray whilst at work.  He said he found a quiet place and started praying for me.

I suddenly woke up and there was a mighty presence of God in the room. I just knew I was not alone at that moment, God was in the room. When I looked at the clock an hour and half had gone by since the time I had started praying. I finally made my way to the kitchen to prepare something to eat and after that cleared the sink in the spirit of praise and thanks giving to God. My husband unexpectedly walked into the house back from work and looked surprised to see me clearing dishes. We hugged and thanked God as he shared with me the experience he had had while at work and how he told his boss he had to leave for home. We thank God for delivering me from untimely death. The prayer of the righteous is surely His delight. Praise the lord.
