NEW YEAR MESSAGE
-
We have ushered in 2022 by the grace of God.
-
2021 has been a challenging and difficult year for the world at large and things are not going to become any better as we draw closer to the coming of the Lord. The bible says in
-
-
Then said He unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers’ places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven.
-
Jesus clearly foretold the days we are experiencing today, wars, famine, earthquakes, diseases and great distress and challenges in economies, socially and in the way we live. There are no guarantees anymore from family or government. All foundations are being shaken and all that we ever trusted in be it friends, family, government is being tested and is being found wanting. The bible says in
-
-
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
-
What has been comforting me over the past several months is that God is still God, and He still sits on His throne. He is the alpha and omega and has the solution and answers to what is happening to our lives and the world today. He wants us to re-check our foundations. We need to ask ourselves who really is building our house. Our houses as individuals, as families and as a nation. Why things are not able to withstand the storms is because the foundations are faulty. We need to re-visit our foundations and see from God’s perspective and put the wrong right in this season and seasons ahead.
-
God says unless I am the architect of any building, those who build are building something which is not sustainable. The key for this year 2022 and beyond, is to allow God to build our lives as individuals, families and nations.
HOW DO WE ACHIEVE THIS?
-
Time to return to the Lord. Come now let us return to the Lord…… (Hosea 6:1)
-
Let’s go back to prayer again, as individuals, as families, as churches and as a nation (2 Chronicles 7:14).
-
-
Let’s walk in the Spirit and be led by the Spirit (John 16:13).
-
Trust the Lord and acknowledge Him in everything we do (Proverbs 3:5).
THERE ARE PILLARS WHICH GOD HAS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SPIRIT WHICH WILL HELP US NAVIGATE THROUGH 2022 AND THE YEARS AHEAD.
KEY SCRIPTURES TO NOTE:
-
For behold the darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the people, But the Lord will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you. The gentiles shall come to your light and Kings to the brightness of your rising (Isaiah 60:2-3)
-
The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you, But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory (Isaiah 60:19)
-
The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower, the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10)
-
The year to call on the name of the Lord and find your voice. Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things (Jeremiah 33:3)
-
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19)
-
Abraham staggered not in faith at the promises of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:20). Stagger not at the promises God has given you.
