God’s Faithfulness
God’s Faithfulness
I was undertaking my Nurse training (3 year course) and 6 months before qualifying I had to defer completion due to unforeseen circumstances. It was a very challenging time for me and my family, but God worked it all out for His good. When I eventually decided to go back to university to complete my training, most Universities had changed their syllabus. I made several applications to many universities but all were declined.
I eventually received one invitation for interview from one top university. We decided to open the letter and place it on our prayer altar at home. We prayed over it everyday until the day I was due to go for the interview. On the morning of the interview before I left home, my husband gave a word of prophecy saying, “the Lord has made a way for you for they will not interview you, they just want to see you, they have given you the place and you will finish your training“.
When I arrived for the interview, I met the Head of Nursing who was one of the interviewers. After introducing herself, she led me to the interview room where the course leader was waiting. Just as I sat down, the Head of Nursing said, “Rura there is no interview, we just wanted to see you and we have already decided on giving you the place so you can complete your training, your grades are very good, your references came back and are very good and we are pleased”. It was the shortest interview I recall in my life. That was it, we later discussed about accommodation over a cup of tea. I left that day having had my accommodation sorted out and given my start date. I joined the last group of students who were on the old syllabus. Praise the Lord, all glory goes to him, for without him we can do nothing.
